I was born in south-eastern Pennsylvania near a small town called Lansdale. My father was a teacher in a school in the area, and my mother was a kindergarten teacher in the same school. Shortly after I was born, my family moved about an hour and a half north to a town called Stroudsburg, PA. There, my father took a school principal position for some time. This is where I begin my memories.
I want to begin by thanking my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for wonderful parents. They were parents who wanted to see their children grow up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. And, they were parents who were willing to put the time in to see that it happened.
When I think about my childhood, I was privileged to have parents who spent time with my brother and me. Not only was time spent doing all those fun things kids do, but, time was also spent teaching my brother and me about the Bible. I am thankful for the many days, even at a young age, that my parents shared with me about how I could know for sure that I was on my way to heaven. I am also thankful to say that one day at the age of three I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart.
Yes, even at the young age of 3, I could understand the facts: (1) I was a sinner (Romans 3:23). And, (2) Because of my sin, I would spend an eternity in a place called hell unless I accepted God's Gift of His Son's death on the cross (Romans 6:23; John 3:16). (3) I needed a Savior to save me from that eternity in hell. (4)This Savior is Jesus Christ, God's own Son, who came and died on the cross for the sin of the world (John 3:16). At age 3 I knelt down beside the bed and I did what John 3:16 says: . . . "Whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life"; and Romans 10:9 which states: 'That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." I placed my faith and trust in Christ as the ONLY WAY to Heaven. I know for sure that I am on my way to Heaven. Accepting Christ into my life was the greatest decision I ever made.
