Well, through much practice in the last several years I have been able to grasp most of the common chords. I play for our church youth group and also I play an occasional special in church.

While in college I began to experiment with writing my own music. I began writing a few Christian songs based on the Bible. I only wrote about 2 or 3. Then, the year after I graduated, I moved back to PA from North Carolina. My parents, however, stayed in North Carolina.

Each year, one of the greatest activities that I looked forward to doing was hunting with my dad. Every year, since I was 12, I can remember hunting with my dad. But, as all good things must come to an end, it did. With my move to PA, I would not be able to hunt with dad anymore. A song began forming in my head in remembrance of those times with my dad. While continuing to write Christian songs, that song began a series of songs based solely on the idea of hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors. I am able to spend a great deal of time hunting and fishing so ideas for new songs come fast and furious

It has been about 5 years since I first wrote that song. New songs continued coming to mind, derived from many hours hunting and fishing each year. I would play it and others and people would really enjoy it. They would ask me if and when I was going to make a CD. I had prayed about it, and had asked God to lead me to the right people so that the dream of putting my songs to CD could be accomplished.

The Lord that led me to a friend in my church named Brett Bloom. Brett began the recording, however due to finances I had to switch to another recording artist named Jake Snyder. Jake owns and operates North Recording Studio out of Roaring Springs, PA. If it were not for Jake, this CD would not be in print due to the cost of recording these days. Praise the Lord that after many hours of work we were able to complete this project, and the end result is hopefully the start of an ongoing series of outdoor music CD's.
